X Series Recommendations - This is a set of data telecommunications standards and protocols, as defined by the ITU-T.

X-Axis - The horizontal axis on a plot, graph, or chart.

Xfer - Shorthand for transfer.

XM - Jargon for satellite radio; it is a mix between X (satellite) and FM.

XModem - This a data transmission protocol that is error-correcting, developed by Ward Christiansen, for transmitting files between different PCs.
