Multiswitches
Satellite owners need to use a multiswitch whenever you
are going to connect more than two satellite receivers to a single
satellite dish with dual-LNBF, or when you connect multiple satellite
receivers to multiple satellite dishes.
Multiswitches are also known as switches and will
route the satellite signal to the appropriate satellite receivers.
There are, of course, multiswitches of various quality, and
we've decided to list some of the common models and some other devices
below.
Side-note: diplexers allow the combined antenna and satellite
signals to be separated.
- 4-Channel Multi-Switch - These are made to work most all
DSS, DBS and DVB systems. They'll allow up to four different
satellite receivers to display different channels.
- 8-Channel Multi-Switch - These are made to work most all
DSS, DBS and DVB systems. They'll allow up to eight different
satellite receivers to display different channels.
- Multiswitches that hook up 4 receivers to 2 satellite dishes
or to 2 dual-LNB dishes where each of the dishes is pointed
at a different satellite.
- Multiswitches that hook up 8 receivers to 2 satellite dishes
or to 2 dual-LNB dishes where each of the dishes is pointed
at a different satellite.
- 22kHz Switch - this power-passing, 22 kHz switch is used
to operate 2 different LNBs.
- Dish Network DP34 Switch - This device hooks up 4 Dish Network
receivers to 3 satellites.
- Dish Network DP21 Switch - This device hooks up 2 inputs
(up to 3 orbital satellite locations) to one receiver.
- Dish Network Legacy SW21 Switch - This device hooks up 2
inputs (up to 3 orbital satellite locations) to one receiver,
and combines 2 dual-LNBF's into one coax line. This multiswitch
can be use for a single or dual-dish Dish Network system, and
it allows voltage switching between two satellites.
- In-Line Amplifier - This device amplifies the signal to
compensate for splitters and long runs.
- Diplexers - This device can either combine or separate TV
antenna signals and satellite signals onto or from a single-feed
coaxial cable.
- 4-way splitters - 5 to 2050 MHz
- 2-way splitters - 5 to 2050 MHz
- RCA A/B Switch - With this device you can switch between
a VCR and cable input to your television set.
- Surge Protectors - With this device, you can protect your
electronic equipment from power surges.
