Directway DSL

Directway DSL is a satellite internet service offered by the same company, Hughes, that operates Direct TV. It is one of the most widely known of all satellite internet service providers and is a good choice for customers who want to go with a reputable name.

If you live in a rural area of the US, you're probably aware that you can't get broadband service from either the cable companies or DSL from the telephone companies (because you're too far from a central office). If this describes your situation, you should look into Directway service. With Directway, you'll use a satellite dish to both upload and download data files and to surf the internet. And this satellite internet system will be much faster than your dial-up service you already have.

Anyone who wants to access the internet with Directway DSL service, will need to get this equipment when starting new service (you can get it from a provider).

The most important requirement you must meet before you get satellite Directway service is to make sure that you have an unobstructed and clear view to the south. If there is an obstruction, the data will be blocked as it is transmitted between your house and the satellite (which is orbit over the equator).
